The Clinton Fire Department offers fire extinguisher education classes to local community businesses and organizations free of charge. The course covers three main topics: 1) Extinguisher identification, 2) Extinguisher Safety Tips, and 3) Extinguisher use. Utilizing a digital fire extinguisher training device, classes can be conducted indoors.
The digital trainer utilizes a laser beam to simulate extinguisher powder and a digital screen to simulate a fire. All that is needed to conduct the training class is electrical power and space big enough to handle the class size.
Class size is best kept to less than 25 people to ensure material retention. Multiple classes can be requested in a single training event.
Each class lasts approximately 15 minutes.
